Live Forever, released on 8 August 1994 as the third single from their debut album Definitely Maybe. It became one of the band’s defining tracks, known for its optimistic lyrics and soaring guitar riffs. Inspired partly as a response to the bleakness of grunge, it was the first Oasis single to enter the UK Top 10, peaking at #10. Over the years, it’s been hailed as one of the greatest British rock songs, and in 2012, NME readers voted it the greatest song of all time.
